Effective July 13, 2021, the Ontario government has made changes to the Better Jobs Ontario program to better help laid off workers pay for tuition and living expenses if they retrain for new careers. If you were laid off in one of the sectors most impacted by COVID-19 since March 1, 2020, you may benefit from these changes. For a provider in your area call 1-800-387-5056. Better Jobs Ontario provides you with financial help to pay for school tuition, books, living expenses and more. You may be eligible for financial assistance if you have been laid off within the last 12 months or working less than 20 hours a week.
